Service Animal Policy
It is our pleasure to welcome your service animal. Please be aware you will be required to answer the following questions, legally allowed by the ADA:
- 1. Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?
- 2. What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?
The only animals covered by the ADA are dogs a miniature horses. We do not charge any fees for a service animal, nor do we charge any additional security deposit or cleaning fees.
The guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or, pets or service animals.
In accordance with ADA, and FHA regulations, we have the following rules for our guests with Service Animals.
This insures that both your stay, and that of our guests after you will be enjoyable and relaxing. If you have any questions, please ask.
• Your Service Animal should not be left unattended at any time. They must go with you when you leave the property unless prior arrangements have been arranged and agreed with the owners.
• Your Service Animal must be on a leash at all times, or under control of verbal or sight commands that they follow at all times.
• Your Service Animal must be housebroken, non-aggressive, not destructive, and not display repeated, unprovoked barking.
• We can ask you to remove your Assistance Animal and/or leave for excessive barking, aggressive or damaging behavior or lack of sanitation.
• Puppies and Service Dogs in-training are not recognized under the ADA. We regret we are unable to accommodate those under our service animals term, they will be classed as pets, with applicable pet fees.
• Your Service Animal must use the bathroom outside. Indoor piddle pads are not allowed.
• Please clean up defecations immediately and dispose of the bags properly.
• You are responsible at all times for your Service Animal’s behavior. While we reasonably expect that your Service Animal is well-trained, should any damage occur, you are responsible for the cost of any additional cleaning, repairs or replacements as a result.
Emotional Support Animals
Emotional Support Animals and Therapy Animals are not covered by the ADA and consequently Standard Pet Fees and associated cleaning fees will not waived for Emotional Support Animals or Therapy Animals.
Fake Service Animal Law
Under Florida State Law it is illegal it misrepresent a service animal and is punishable by a fine or jail. If we discover a guest has misrepresented a pet as a service animal, we reserve the right to seek financial restitution and report fraudulent claims to government authorities.
